NML is at this moment negotiating with RA International (Dubai) an order for 15 Mini Houses to a UN-camp in Darfur. Darfur has an extreme climate, why it is a challenge to build there. The houses need to endure frequent sandstorms, large variations in temperature, must be easy to transport and assemble, and last but not least: they must provide an inspiring living environment for UN personnel working under hard pressure. NML has constructed a camp-version of the Mini House that fulfils all these requirements.
This cooperation started in May 2007. Sandell was given the task to design a stylish and functional Sea Cabin: a small floating house/hotel room. NMS received the plans in August, and both parties agreed that we had something big going on. The perfect solution for marinas was born; one that gives them the opportunity to broaden their services. This cabin is also an attractive solution for a guesthouse, placed either on land or on water.
The boat-company NM Yacht ordered a floating office from NMS in August. The office is located in the Stockholm archipelago, it is 20 square-meters big and has a sauna in one of the corners to be used by the clients. A perfect activity after demonstrating boats in the chilly autumn. Read more about the office under Models.
There are several other products by NMS in the same area, so it constitutes a perfect place for observing the different models. Please contact Mats Elzén at +46 (0) 703 594 542 for a private tour!
The Swedish company Skärgårdshändelser buys a huge sauna for event-activities. The platform is incredibly 90 square-meters big! The house is 25 square-meters and divided into a sauna, a big atrium, a toilet and a storage room for the fire-wood.
